Mom Blog Monday: Moms Club

I occasionally use this service—Twin Cities Local Foods—for my groceries. Saturday around 1:00 p.m. I went for my pickup.

“Are you Summer?” asked the woman distributing our goods that day. She'd just left me a message. I was most likely the last to arrive.

She'd just left me a message ensuring I was still coming. She stepped up into the truck while looking back at me. “Are you part of the Moms Club?” she asked.

I mean, don't get me wrong: I had heard her 100 percent clearly. But I was extending her a white flag—a do-over

“Are you part of the Moms Club?”

“No...I'm not in the Moms Club...”

“I thought I recognized your name.”

I have 100 questions:

  • She thought she recognized my name? Was that her cover?
  • What is Moms Club?
  • Wait, is it Moms Club or Moms' Club?
  • I mean, does this look like a mom to you?
  • The type of mom to belong to a club?

Oh, wait—I am a member of a club!
